Learning Battletech the Total War Part 2

10th Dec

Again we met up at Settlers for a refresher course on BT (Total War).

This is more basic BA and more variety in mechs than the TSM hatchet combo.

True, I play hide and seek to get the win again.

But BA rules are still fun to learn though if it is BA vs BA, then it would take some time to play.

**Yes, we welcome back Simon back to the fold ***
Learning Battletech the Total War Part 1

7th Dec 2006

Members of HIT got together again for a game with JT and Jon.

What a free for all it is for all?

Jon in his TSM Ostosl, Gordon in a Stealth Marauder, JT in a Buc, Bryan in Tsang Ti, Maurice in a Hatchetmen and me in No-Da Chi.

Get the picture, there are 3 hatchet wielding and 1 sword wielding mechs in the game. Furthermore, only the Hatchetman and Buc is not armed with TSM.

Basic maps were used in conjunction.

Being away from the game too long shows as my dice rolls sucked in the game. And only through the grace of JT that I managed to win the game in the end.

Lessons learnt in the game are
1) Infernos are still useful even if they change the rules to it.
2) TSM mechs with or without physical weapons are dangerous in close range.
3) Physical attacks are more likely to hit and more dangerous.
